Polo

Bio

Polo is a proud military brat, born and raised in California, he developed a deep love for animals at a young age from his mom who was a vet tech all his life. Received his Veterinary Assistant certificate from Pikes Peak State College, he brings a strong work ethic and genuine compassion for animal health. He intends to earn his Vet tech certification in the future but for now he wants to care for as many animals as possible!

Emily

Pre-Veterinary Student

Bio

Emily is Dr. D and Carrie’s daughter. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s in Animal Science (Pre-Veterinary track) at South Dakota State University. With a busy class load, she still manages to contribute several hours per week towards beef nutrition research projects under the guidance of one of her professors, and be an active participant of clubs, including the Pre-Veterinary Medicine Club. Although she is undecided in what she would like to practice in the future, she has her eyes set on either Mixed Animal Medicine, or being a board-certified Equine Surgeon. When at the clinic, you can find Emily keeping Dr. D and Dr. Schmidt in-line! She enjoys just about every aspect veterinary medicine has to offer, but the opportunity of working with her biggest mentors (her parents!) is truly priceless.
