Dr. DeAngelo

Dr. Robert DeAngelo is a native of Colorado. He grew up in the Denver area and spent his childhood with animals, including horses and dogs. While studying to become a science teacher, he realized his true passion was veterinary medicine. Dr. DeAngelo was accepted to Colorado State University and graduated in the winter of 1987. He set up practice in Calhan in 1988 and has been here ever since! The practice has continued to grow and he is proud to care for many of the different species in the area.

Dr. Clarissa Carver

Dr. Clarissa Carver received her DVM from Colorado State University in 2023. She is a CSU Ram through and through, having also received her MS in Animal Nutrition in 2021 and bachelor’s degrees in Animal and Equine science in 2018. She even was a Ram Handler for CSU’s mascot CAM the ram as an undergraduate! Dr. Carver grew up in northern Illinois riding and showing horses in 4-H, as well as in the English/Western pleasure and hunter/jumper disciplines. In her free time, she loves to run, hike, ride horses, and hang out with her pets and fiancé. She looks forward to the variety of species and cases she will see in the Calhan area.

Certified Veterinary Technician

Ashley has lived in Colorado majority of her life. She recently moved out to the country a year ago. She has been working in small animal and some exotics since 2017. She has always had a soft spot for the smaller breed dogs but loves all animals. She has aspirations of having her own farm with horses, goats, and chickens. She has 4 dogs; Sophie a corgi chihuahua mix, Frenchy a French bull dog, Nala a shepherd chow mix and Ariat a Pitbull. In her spare time she loves spending time with family and friends, hiking or kayaking.

Veterinary Assistant

Albert is a Certified Veterinary Assistant and a Calhan native. He has worked at various jobs in the area but has a real passion for animals. They know it, too – we have only found two dogs that don’t like Albert! He is also a huge Denver Broncos fan.
